A hand painted ceramic wall plaque showing two Cornish Pilot Gigs, Wolf and Cadmus, both currently raced by Salcombe Rowing Club. Traditional 32ft clinker built with 6 single oared rowing positions pilot gigs can be seen in many coastal towns and villages throughout the South West. Originally used in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly up until the 1920s for carrying pilots out to ships, for rescue work and the occasional smuggling, these fast gigs are now raced in regattas throughout the South West.

Note:-
· All tiles are supplied with a felt backing and picture hook. If you wish to incorporate the tile into a tiled wall soak it in hot soapy water for 20 minutes so that the backing can be removed
· Because each tile is hand crafted there will be slight variances from tile to tile
· Glazed surface cracks is a normalcharacteristic of this art form
